Low tack masking tape: ideal for your most delicate jobs

Low tack masking tape provides a very low removal force, which makes it perfect for extra delicate or freshly painted surfaces, wallpapers and any project where low adhesion and no surface damage is required.

Low tack masking tape is specifically designed to be applied on finished and previously painted surfaces, without the risk of leaving any residue.

Imagine having to touch up on some frescos, or having to paint some decorations on a freshly painted wall: you absolutely cannot risk ruining the surface below the tape. For this reason, low tack is the perfect choice when it comes to extremely delicate painting jobs.

Applications for low tack masking tape

Low tack masking tape is perfect for a variety of household tasks, and while its possible uses are endless, it is specifically ideal for the following applications:

1. It can be used for duo-toning stencil works, where you have to paint over an already painted surface.
2. It can also be used for wall coverings, touch-ups and finishes.
3. It can be used for tracing and masking edges during painting.

PPM’s low tack masking tapes

PPM offers two types of low tack masking tape:

• 2031 Painter’s Low Tack Masking Tape
• 5020 Painter’s Low Tack Fine Line Masking Tape

The former, 2031 Painter’s Low Tack Masking Tape, is made with a saturated crepe paper backing and a solvent borne rubber resin adhesive. It is resistant to moisture and both water and solvent based paints. It adapts easily to multiple irregular surfaces and it guarantees clean removal without leaving any residue.

The latter, 5020 Painter’s Low Tack Fine Line Masking Tape, is made with a Japanese washi paper backing and a gentle acrylic adhesive, which require a very low removal force. It’s extremely easy to unroll, remove and reposition, without leaving any adhesive residue.

Ultimately, they both ensure extremely smooth, clean and sharp edges while also protecting the delicate surface below them.
