Scrim

Fiberglass Scrim Tape

Description

Scrim is a high quality scrim tape made of fiberglass and coated with adhesive glue on one side. It is used on the plasterboard gap to strengthen the strength of the wall.

This product is the perfect tool for any plasterboarding project, joining your boards and providing a smooth finish.

The mesh of the tape allows it to contain the jointing compound during plastering, creating a strong joint and the holes between the threads allow the plaster to cover all areas for a seamless finish when skimmed.

In fact, the threads act as a reinforcing mesh and stop the joints from cracking as the adjacent plasterboard panels move with expansion, contraction and human action.
