Packaging is ubiquitous: it is used in shipping, storage and protection of various products like foodstuffs, cosmetics, medicines and pharmaceuticals. All over the world, consumers are increasingly aware of sustainability, in particular the impact of packaging on the environment. For this reason, producers are facing the issue by adopting solutions that are certificated eco-friendly.
Recyclability is a crucial issue in the PSA tapes sector because the adhesive represents an obstacle to their recyclability (waste): there are no tapes on the market certified as recyclable thus far. Applied during box closing, PSA tapes and cardboard boxes are disposed of together during the paper collection and recycling process. In addition, different methods are used to determine the level of recyclability of paper products (including paper-based PSA tapes for packaging), without there being a single, clear and general rule. Among those currently recognised at the European level is the INGEDE certification, which evaluates the recyclability of packaging adhesive tapes within the graphic papers supply chain. INGEDE is an international association that has devised a series of methods to prove how the application of specific products, such as adhesive tapes, does not compromise the recycling process of paper material. Therefore, using INGEDE-certified products, such as our eco-paper packaging tapes, means using packaging solutions that have a minimal environmental impact and footprint, in other words, it means making a sustainable choice.

4010 Entry Level Carton Sealing paper packaging tape. Quick and user-friendly, with a synthetic rubber resin solvent free. Designed to seal cartons and lightweight boxes, easy to unwind, it provides a good hold on the application surface. But most of all, 40% of the raw materials which contains come from natural resources.
4020 Standard Brown Paper Packaging Tape. Thanks to its solvent-based adhesive, it could be used in packaging products destinated to the hottest areas even those with tropical climates. Easy to use and unroll, this paper tape is designed for carton sealing applications or manual boxes. PPM 4020 is environmentally friendly: 50% of its materials come from natural sources.
4040 Medium-heavy weight paper packaging tape. If you are looking for an eco-friendly paper packaging tape that provides good holding and adhesion on all kinds of paper, PPM 4040 is the right solution. Comprising a strong flatback paper backing with 85% bio-based and 30% recycled fibres, the tape material can be recycled up to 50% in the most common paper recycling processes, according to UNI 11743 standard.
4050 Heavy Weight Paper Packaging Tape ECO LINE. 4050 is PPM sustainable heavy-duty packaging solution. Thanks to its particular adhesive formulation, it ensures high adhesives performance on the cardboards with consequent tamper-evident characteristics. 4050 is also an eco-friendly choice: the strong flatback paper backing is 85% bio-based and 30% recycled fibres reinforced with glass filaments.
